Sculptra: Effectiveness of Skin Rejuvenation Procedures

Sculptra Effectiveness of Skin Rejuvenation Procedures

Sculptra is an exciting liquid Dermal Filler that makes the body’s natural collagen production start up again in the places where it is injected. This bio-stimulatory function shows and gives biological effects that last a long time.

But is this treatment really ‘that’ effective? Let’s look at the answers here at Skin Envy. Check out this blog post today!

Everything About Sculptra

Sculptra does not work as a filler by itself. Instead, it is a substance that encourages your body to make collagen. Your body will use up the Sculptra injected into you over the next two years and replace it with collagen that it makes on its own.

Collagen is a structural protein found in our connective tissue. As we age, our bodies slowly make less of it. Collagen keeps us from getting old too quickly, giving our skin a healthy, plump, smooth look.

Over time, our faces lose volume, which makes our skin sag, creates hollows, fine lines, and wrinkles, and gives us an older look. A practical series of Sculptra injections will help your body fill in areas where it doesn’t have enough collagen.

This includes scars from minor injuries or acne. Sculptra is different from other fillers because it doesn’t make a pillow-like effect under the skin’s surface. So patients won’t get puffy or have an outcome that feels “doughy.”

Without invasive plastic surgery or liposuction, there is very little to no pain besides a numb feeling. Sculptra is very effective in the following treatment areas:

  • Face
  • Décolletage
  • Hands
  • Arms
  • Cellulite
  • Stretch marks
  • Buttocks
  • Hip dips
  • Sagging knees

More Details About Trying Sculptra

Thinner people, older people, and people who work out a lot may need more Sculptra injections or more treatment sessions. Most people need at least three treatment sessions over a few months.

The number of times you get these injections and how long you have to wait between them vary from person to person. You should see the full effect of your Sculptra injections on your appearance between 4 and 6 months after getting them.

Alcohol, blood thinners, aspirin, multivitamins, Vitamin E, fish oil, and other herbal supplements that can cause bleeding or bruising should be avoided at least one week before your Sculptra procedure.

All patients are strongly encouraged to massage the treated area five times a day for five minutes each, for five days in a row. Massaging the treated area keeps the Sculptra particles spread out in the affected tissue and stops nodules from forming.

This will keep the treated area from making too much collagen. After your Sculptra treatment, you can return to your routine immediately. Those who want to can put on makeup right after treatment if they’re going to.

So, Is Sculptra a Good Choice?

Patients with keloid scars who have had hypertrophic scars in the past are not good candidates for Sculptra. Patients with Rheumatoid arthritis, MS, Lupus, or vasculitis, for example, are not good candidates for Sculptra because these conditions weaken the immune system. Sculptra is not recommended for women who are pregnant or could become pregnant, who are breastfeeding, or who are under 18 years old.

What Amount of Sculptra Do I Need?

Most people need two to three treatments spaced out over four to six months for the best results. Most of the time, one vial per decade of life is recommended.

For example, a patient who is 40 years old would need a total of 4 vials, which would be split into two treatments of 2 vials each and spaced out by two months. Then, we suggest you join the Beauty Club and get treatments once a month to keep the results going.

Choosing Sculptra over Dermal Fillers

Patients like this treatment because it gives them beautiful, natural, and long-lasting results without downtime. Except for heavy gym workouts for a few days, you can return to your day as soon as you leave work.

After Sculptra injections, some redness and swelling may occur for a few hours. The main difference between Sculptra and dermal fillers is that Sculptra makes your collagen grow, while dermal fillers “fill” an area right away and last for 9 to 12 months.

Besides, here are some reasons why this filler is so popular, from the fact that it can completely refresh the face to the fact that it requires little maintenance.

Last Longer

Because this filler rebuilds the face’s underlying structure by making collagen, its effects last much longer than most other injectables.

Most people are happy with their results for at least two years. Even if you decide not to have the treatment again, the extra collagen made by the first fluid facelift will help you age better.

Best Choice For All

This filler’s first set of treatments can be done in less than an hour and doesn’t require downtime. Many patients even schedule these appointments during their lunch break.

After the first set of injections, you won’t need to return for maintenance treatments or “top-offs” for two years. You won’t have to think about this filler again.

A Complete Revitalization

This dermal filler works to repair the face’s underlying structure by making the body make more collagen. This has a lot of cosmetic benefits. Once this dermal filler does its job, the extra fullness in the face makes fine lines, wrinkles, and folds look less noticeable.

Bony parts are softened, like the cheekbones, which sometimes stand out more as the skin thins with age. This filler can also add volume to parts of the face, like the temple, that can get thinner over time.

This injectable can make a face look better in many ways. It can bring back some of the youthful curves and thicken skin that has started to thin. This filler is sometimes called a “liquid facelift” because it can lift and refresh the face without surgery.

Natural Results

Most people get four Sculptra injections over a few weeks. A mesh-like pattern is made under the skin by giving the injections in different directions. This means that once the filler is in place, it provides full coverage and can act as a base for collagen to grow.

Collagen takes time to form, so it could be a few months before the changes in the face are entirely noticeable. But because the results come on slowly, they look more natural and less filled out. You’ll never look like you suddenly went and “had work done.”
